Booking, paying and running late
What to know before you choose a time. Prices are set by the spa and shown on the booking page.
Booking and deposits
Choose a time online or call the front desk. Steep takes no deposit for a single visit. A card holds a booking for two or more guests, and it goes toward the visit.
Canceling and running late
Please tell us at least 12 hours before your time and we will move it or cancel it. If you arrive late, we shorten the service so the next guest isn't kept waiting, and your visit still ends when it was meant to.
If you miss an appointment
If you miss a visit without telling us, the card on your booking may be charged under the spa's terms, which you see before you confirm. Call us if something comes up. We would rather move you.
Children and companions
Services are for guests 16 and older. A parent or guardian books for anyone under 18 and stays in the building. A companion is welcome to wait in the front room.
If you're not happy
Tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.
Tipping
Tips are never added to your bill. If you'd like to leave one, you can at the front desk or when you check out online, and it goes to the person who looked after you.
In the treatment room
What happens once you are on the table, and what to tell us first.
Patch tests and allergies
Tell us about allergies and sensitivities when you book and again before your visit. We can tell you every oil and product we use, and we will test one on a small patch of skin when you ask.
Undressing and draping
You undress to your comfort and stay covered by a sheet throughout. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and your therapist steps out while you settle on the table.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Your therapist asks about pressure and any area to avoid before starting, checks in during the visit and stops whenever you ask.
Using the thermal areas
Steep has no sauna, steam room or pool. The only heat is a warm towel, and if you'd like it cooler, tell your therapist.
When to ask your doctor first
Check with your doctor before you book if you are pregnant, take a medicine that affects your skin, or have a health or skin condition. For a facial, we will tell you if we think a dermatologist is the better next step.
Phones and quiet
Phones stay off or on silent in the treatment rooms and the changing area, and photos are never taken there. The front room is fine for a quick call.
Questions about a policy?
Call the front desk before you book and Nereida will go through it with you.
